Trackwork Manufacturing

Harmer Steel manufactures frogs, switch points, pre-assembled turnouts and many other custom items. Our shop in Vancouver has a wide variety of machinery for trackwork manufacturing as well as an experienced workforce of millwrights, welders, and journeyman machinists. In addition to making frogs and switch points from new rail, we make switch points from #1 relay (used) rail and outfit used frogs with new wing and heel rails. This allows us to provide customers with a range of options depending on their needs and budget.

We do custom fabrication as well as manufacture standard items for stock. We try to keep our schedule flexible, so no matter what your needs, we can make shipment in a timely manner. Our computer-aided design software and our experienced sales representatives can help you determine what you need. We regularly prepare CAD drawings so customers can see details and dimensions of their turnouts before an order is released to production.
